On The Farm

About Molescroft Farm

The farm has 10% of the land managed primarily for wildlife and the environment which makes it an especially good place for children to explore.

Much of the electricity used on the farm, offices and nursery is produced by the 190kW solar panels on the farm. The heating is provided by a 199kW biomass boiler which used locally sourced wood from sustainably managed woodland.

The chickens

Our Araucana chickens Terry, Buttons, Sky, Rainbow and Rhubarb.

The chickens have now started to lay eggs which is very exciting for the children as we can now collect these from chicken coop daily!

The goats

We have two Pygmy goats, Pom-Pom and Digga Digga.

We also have a 70 place community allotment which is run as a not-for-profit business.

Molescroft Farm

Molescroft Farm runs over 1,600 acres of arable land which includes lots of farm machinery. It is run by Tamara, sister of Camilla who runs the nursery. Tamara’s little boy Ivo has been at the nursery since the first day.

Tamara says that the nursery is invaluable for her to allow her to work whilst knowing Ivo is being looked after in the best possible way and having such a positive affect on his future development.
